This is an antique spindle back rocker. An English, beech and elm country house rocking chair, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

- Attractive, deep caramel hues beam across the country house form
- Crest rail of deeply bowed form, accentuated with striking figuring
- Five turned spindles form the back rest, with collared detail
- Turned balusters supporting each serpentine arm
- Wide, circular seat squab with gently recessed saddle slab adds to the comfort
- Raised upon pleasingly turned and collared, stout legs
- United by a turned double H-stretcher with tapered spindles
- The long, arched rocking feet provide a relaxing, gentle motion
