This is a period Art Nouveau coal scuttle, an antique Victorian fireside bin in iron dating to c.1900.

Bronzed finish over iron bowl
Impressive high relief pressed lid over voluminous storage
Featuring free-form garlands and sprays framed in decorative bands
Hinged for easy access to the large pot beneath
Featuring a 'duck head' garland handle
Standing upon a tripod of out-swept legs with foliate mounts
